By accessing or using Codex Interview (codexinterview.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you may not use the service.

1. Service Description

Codex Interview is a collaborative coding interview platform that provides real-time code editing, AI chat assistance, multi-language code execution, and related tools. The service is available via web browser and desktop application.

2. Account Registration

You must sign in with a valid Google account to use Codex Interview. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service to engage in any unlawful, harassing, or fraudulent activity
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' sessions, accounts, or data
  • Submit malicious code designed to disrupt the service or other users' sessions
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the service
  • Use the AI chat feature to generate content that violates applicable laws
  • Share your account credentials with others or operate multiple accounts
  • Use the service to conduct automated scraping, data mining, or denial-of-service attacks
  • Circumvent any access restrictions, rate limits, or security measures

4. Code Execution

Code submitted through Codex Interview is executed on third-party infrastructure. You are solely responsible for the code you submit. Do not submit code that contains sensitive information such as passwords, API keys, or personal data.

5. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of any code you write during sessions on Codex Interview. We do not claim ownership of user-generated content. However, by using the service you grant us a limited license to process your code as necessary to provide the service (e.g., code execution, AI assistance).

6. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. See our Refund Policy and Cancellation Policy for details on cancellations and refunds.

7. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms of Use. Upon suspension:

  • Access to pad creation and collaborative sessions will be disabled
  • You may contact us through the Contact page to appeal the decision
  • We are not obligated to provide advance notice of suspension

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Codex Interview is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Codex Interview and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
