v1.1.0 - July 12, 2026

This release brings live screen sharing and a simpler, subscription-free way to pay.

✨ What's New

  • Screen Share — Share your live screen with the person you trust, straight from the desktop app. They can watch right in the browser (no install needed) and guide you in real time, alongside the shared coding pad. Up to 3 viewers per session — viewers just need to be signed in.
  • New pricing: one-time session passes — We've replaced recurring subscriptions with one-time passes. Pay once for the time you need — no subscription, no auto-renewal. Choose a Day Pass ($29 · 24-hour access) or a Month Pass ($69 · 30-day access) whenever you have an interview coming up.

v1.0.10 - July 2, 2026

🛠 Fixes & Improvements

  • Shared pad loading fixed — Based on user feedback, we fixed an issue where a newly created pad could get stuck with a loading bar and never open properly.
  • Collaborative editing stability improved — Fixed a long-running issue where code written by another participant could appear messed up or incorrectly formatted on one side of the shared pad.
  • Cleaner code editor scrolling — Removed the sticky scroll behavior in the editor so the coding view stays simpler and less distracting.

v1.0.9 - March 30, 2026

✨ What's New

  • Desktop app Google sign-in fixed — You no longer need to manually enter your Gmail password or deal with the "Complete sign-in using your passkey" prompt in the desktop app. Sign-in now works with a single click, just like the web version. We upgraded our authentication system under the hood to make this possible.
  • Responsive dashboard table — The room list table now adapts to smaller screens by progressively hiding less critical columns (Status, Creator), keeping the UI clean on mobile and tablet devices.

v1.0.8 - March 29, 2026

🛠 Fixes & Improvements

  • Fixed collaborative editing corruption — Resolved an issue where code could become corrupted when multiple users joined a shared pad at the same time. This was the root cause of code structure becoming "messed up" for other participants during real-time collaboration.
  • Improved connection stability — Username changes (e.g., when a session loads) no longer cause a brief disconnection. Only the display name is updated in-place.
  • Fixed event listener memory leak — Cursor style and user presence listeners are now properly cleaned up when leaving a room.
  • CSS injection safety — Remote user cursor colors are now validated before rendering, preventing potential styling issues from unexpected input.
  • Fixed memory leak in playback — Session playback resources are now properly released after use.

v1.0.7 - February 18, 2026

🛠 Fixes & Improvements

  • Routine maintenance updates and performance improvements.

v1.0.6 - November 11, 2025

🛠 Fixes & Improvements

  • Fixed an issue where the background transparency could not be adjusted in Python, C/C++, Golang, Java, and JavaScript compilers.
  • Resolved connection issues with the Run Code Compiler.
  • All systems are now operating normally.

v1.0.5 - September 19, 2025

✨ What's New

  • We added blog system to share knowledge, experiences, and insights on technical interviews and coding challenges.

v1.0.4 - August 6, 2025

✨ What's New

  • Dashboard UI Refresh: We’ve updated the dashboard with a cleaner, more modern flat design. We hope you enjoy the new look and feel!
  • Go Language Support: Go (Golang) is now officially supported on our platform. Give it a try in your next session!

v1.0.3 – August 3, 2025

✨ What's New

  • Multi-select delete in the Dashboard’s pad table, allowing users to select and remove multiple pads at once.

🛠 Fixes & Improvements

  • End Interview bug: prevent registered users from ending interviews in rooms they did not create.

v1.0.2 — July 28, 2025

This update includes UI refinements, bug fixes, and new feature enhancements.

✨ What's New

  • AI Code Completion in CoderPad
Integrated AI-assisted code suggestions to boost productivity during live coding.
  • Upgraded: 3 Free Coding Pads for New Users
We've increased the free usage from 2 to 3 CoderPads for all new users — giving you more room to practice and collaborate before subscribing.
  • Redesigned Guest Sign-In Page
Improved layout, typography, and responsiveness for a smoother first-time experience.
  • Refactored CoderPad Connection Logic
Fixed an issue where duplicate user connections could occur in collaborative sessions.
  • Changelog System Added
Introduced version-based changelog records under the Docs section.
  • Updated Data Table UI
Refined the appearance and interaction of tables across the dashboard.
  • Expanded Zoom Setup Instructions
Added clearer step-by-step guidance and visuals to help users configure screen sharing safely.

🚧 What's Next

We're shifting our focus to AI-powered generation tools to enhance the coding experience:

  • AI Code Assistant Panel
A conversational AI interface (like AI Compiler) that lets you interact with an AI agent, confirm suggestions, and send responses directly into the code editor.
  • Image Upload Support
Users will soon be able to upload screenshots or diagrams as part of their AI prompts — allowing the assistant to understand and respond to visual input.

Stay tuned — we're just getting started!

v1.0.1 — July 24, 2025

This is a minor update with important UX and compatibility improvements.

🛠 Fixes & Improvements

  • Clipboard Copy Bug Fixed - In the CoderPad invite section, clicking the copy icon next to the invite link now works as expected. Previously, users had to click inside the input field to copy — clicking the icon had no effect. This is now fixed for smoother sharing.
  • Desktop App Detection Improved - Fixed an issue where the desktop app occasionally failed to detect access to the Codex Interview platform. Detection is now more consistent and reliable.
  • Content Update: “Why Not AI?” Page - Updated the copy and structure of the “Why Not AI?” page to better explain Codex Interview’s human-in-the-loop philosophy and why it avoids overreliance on AI.

If you encounter any bugs or have feedback, let us know — we’re improving fast!

v1.0.0 — July 20, 2025
